Man arrested by TCSO, CPD for rape, other sex crimes
According to the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office, Dakota Lyn Hattaway was arrested on warrants that included rape, aggravated child molestation, and cruelty to children (1st degree). The warrants were discovered after an investigation by Chief Investigator Kirby and Investigator Web who located Hattaway's location in Columbus. Hattaway was found hiding in a bathroom of the residence and taken into custody without incident. He will be processed at the Talbot county Sheriff’s Office for processing before his first hearing.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - According to the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office, Dakota Lyn Hattaway was arrested on warrants that included rape, aggravated child molestation, and cruelty to children (1st degree).
Officials say after the investigation, Chief Investigator Kirby and Investigator Web found the whereabouts of where Hattaway was staying in Columbus. On April 4, contact was made with the Columbus Police Department Warrant Squad, and they were made aware of the warrants against Hattaway.
Around 5:45 a.m. the investigators went to the location with CPD officers to execute the warrants.
They say Hattaway was found hiding in a bathroom of the residence and taken into custody without incident.
Hattaway was transported back to the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office for processing, where he will be given his first hearing.
