SUNBURY, Ohio (WCMH) – A bakeshop created by a man with ties to one of Columbus’ best-known Italian bakeries is now welcoming customers in Sunbury. Pegasus Bread Co. opened at 490 Commerce Drive on… Pegasus Bread Co. was created by Marco Auddino, a member of the family behind Auddinos Italian Bakery in Columbus, Ohio. The business opened on Oct. 17 at 490 Commerce Drive, offering a limited menu featuring pastries, donuts, cookies, cakes, gelato, bread and coffee. The move to Commerce Drive allowed Pegasus Bread Co to expand its offerings and serve customers directly, while maintaining its wholesale operations. The new business continues the Auddini family's legacy, opening in 1968 with a 500-square-foot retail shop in the Linden neighborhood before expanding into a 20,000-square foot retail and wholesale location in 1990.
