COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Two men charged in a fatal south Columbus shooting each made their first appearances in court Wednesday.

26-year-old Jachin Perry Jr. and 18-year-old Michael Twitty were each arraigned in Franklin County Municipal Court in the death of 23-year-old Raquawn Ogelsby. Both received $1 million bonds along with conditions like not being allowed to possess any more weapons, and staying away from the location of the shooting and the victim’s family.

Perry Jr. and Twitty will return to court on June 14 for a preliminary hearing. Both face a murder charge while Perry Jr. also faces an additional charge of felonious assault.

A police dispatcher told NBC4 that a report of a shooting came in just before 1:30 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Buffalo Court on the Far South side. Two victims suffering from gunshot wounds were found at the scene. Ogelsby was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
