Conservative blogger arrested by ICE at Columbus airport, DHS confirms
Conservative Christian blogger and podcaster Samuel Sey remains in custody after immigration officers arrested him Oct. 21 at the Columbus airport and has accepted voluntary departure, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed to The Dispatch. Conservative Christian blogger and podcaster Samuel Sey was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers at the Columbus airport on Oct. 21. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Sey, who entered the US legally in 2022 but stayed beyond his authorized admission period, will remain in ICE custody until he is removed from the United States. His arrest has been supported by conservative commentators, some believing an error involving immigration paperwork led to his arrest. Sey is currently being held at the Butler County Jail in Hamilton.
