The publication named Columbus as one of its top 10 cities for bakers, ranking it seventh in its list of rankings. The article highlighted the city's thriving agricultural industry and its abundance of local ingredients. Local bakeries like Belle's Bread and Dan the Baker were recommended spots to try. Columbus landed just above Seattle and Portland in the eighth and sixth spots respectively.

Columbus is slowly but surely staking its claim as a serious food city, with a recentt Food & Wine story tapping The Arch City as one of the country’s best for bakeries.
In a story published on April 2, the national food publication named its top 10 cities for bakeries across the country, and Columbus grabbed the seventh spot.
“Ohio’s thriving agricultural industry means local chefs can access some of the best and freshest ingredients, and Columbus bakers are definitely taking advantage of it. From desserts and cakes to savory bites and hearty sandwiches with local fruit and vegetables the city is a stellar under-the-radar culinary destination,” the Food & Wine story reads.

Columbus landed just above Seattle, in the eighth spot, and just below Portland, which was in the sixth.
