Ohio State ended a scoreless streak of more than 21 minutes and notched the next three goals for a 5-3 JHU lead early in the second half. Jamie Lasda led the Buckeyes with three assists and four points and Nicole Ferrara had three points with two goals and an assist. Caly O’Brien and Zoe Coleman each scored twice, while Regan Alexander had 11 saves, her fourth game with double-digit stops this season. The Blue Jays had 15 turnovers and Bryce Pfundstein had five caused turnovers.

The Buckeyes (4-6, 0-2 B1G) scored the first goal before the Blue Jays (4-4, 1-0 B1G) went on a five-goal run. Ohio State ended a scoreless streak of more than 21 minutes and notched the next three goals for a 5-3 JHU lead early in the second half. Each team scored twice in the third quarter, with the JHU goal ending a 21-plus minute scoreless streak, for a 7-5 Blue Jay lead entering the fourth. JHU scored the first goal of the fourth before back-to-back Buckeye goals made it a one-goal game with 8:29 remaining. The Blue Jays had the response, with the next three tallies, to pull away. Jamie Lasda led the Buckeyes with three assists and four points and Nicole Ferrara had three points with two goals and an assist. Caly O’Brien and Zoe Coleman each scored twice. Regan Alexander made 11 saves and had five caused turnovers, as did Bryce Pfundstein.

• Ohio State will travel for a game at No. 25 Penn State at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, with the game televised by BTN.

• The Buckeyes will return to Columbus for a mid-week matchup, hosting Louisville at 4 p.m. March 28.

• Road games at Marquette April 4 and No. 11 Maryland April 8 follow, before the regular season home finale vs. No. 3 Northwestern at 6 p.m. April 15. The regular season wraps up at No. 22 Rutgers April 20.

• Ohio State opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game, as Jamie Lasda set up Nicole Ferrara at 13:07.

• The Blue Jays scored the next five and shut out the Buckeyes for 21:05. Johns Hopkins notched goals at 7:27, 6:57 and 2:10 of the first quarter for a 3-1 lead.

• Back-to-back goals from Hopkins at 12:51 and 12:11 to open the second pushed the lead to 5-1.

• Ohio State tallied the next three. Zoe Coleman converted a free position shot at 7:02 to end the scoreless streak and end the JHU run. The final goal of the half came unassisted by Nicole Ferrara with 46 seconds left before halftime. The Blue Jays went into the lockerroom ahead, 5-3.

• Lasda set up Coleman at 2:14 for a one-goal game at 2:14 but the Blue Jays had a player-up goal with 26 seconds left in the quarter to regain their two-goal edge (9-7) entering the fourth.

• A free position shot from JHU at 12:46 opened the scoring in the final quarter and moved the lead to three.

• Ohio State scored back-to-back in less than two minutes to cut the lead to a single goal. Lasda drove the net and scored at 10:18 and then found Caly O’Brien for a goal at 8:29.

• The Blue Jays responded with the next three goals, at 7:53, 5:15 and 2:19, to stretch the lead to four.

• O’Brien scored the game’s final goal with 44 seconds left, assisted by Ferrara.

• The Buckeyes were outshot, 31-19. Buckeye goalie Regan Alexander had 11 saves, her fourth game with double-digit stops this season.

• The Blue Jays had the edge in ground balls (31-26) and were ahead in draw controls (19-3).

• The Buckeyes had 15 caused turnovers, led by Alexander and Bryce Pfundstein with five each. Alexander had 11 ground balls to lead the Buckeyes, while O’Brien had seven.

• Lasda was first on the squad with four points and has four-plus points in each of her last five games. The three assists match her career best, set twice earlier this season.

• Coleman had her second two-goal outing in the Scarlet and Gray.
